On Saturday evening I spent 2 hours volunteering for Feed My Starving Children. It was an amazing experience thinking that myself and 64 other people packaged and prepared for shipment 21,000 meals in a little over 1 1/2 hours. That, I was told was enough to feed 59 starving children for 1 year. This week our meals will be sent to Haiti where so much help is still needed. I highly recommend giving some of your time to this organization should the opportunity arise. They are based in the Twin Cities but now have to sites in Chicago and also have MobilePack events where they travel around the country and work with churches and other organizations to set up a volunteer event in your community. Having sweet babies of my own it breaks my heart to think of any going hungry when it costs so little and takes such a small amount of our time to make sure they have a least one meal to eat a day.
