Happy New Year!

We hope everyone has had enjoyable holiday season.

Here are a few picks of how we spent ours.

Brant kicked off Thanksgiving with a turkey fit for Martha Stewart (it was her recipe), yum

Christmas concert season was then upon us.

Mackenna was very excited for her first concert. She sang and sang and sang in preparation for the big event. See the excitement on her face below?

Landen may not have been quite as enthusiastic but we were very impressed with the work they did. It was a whole school production called the Snow Tree with a play and puppets run by the older grades and lovely singing by the younger group. I hear rehearsals were grueling.

We decorated Christmas trees made of ice cream cones, frosting, and candy at Mackenna's class. She thought her tree needed many gifts beneath, her plate was so full of candy it cracked under the weight when we tried to bring it home. Her teacher asked is we had been depriving her of candy at home.

We headed up north for Christmas but preparation for Santa still had to happen. They baked him some Smarties cookies this year.

 Christmas eve
It was so nice to spend time with Great Grandma Grace.

Christmas morning Chance helped open some gifts.
