In what may be considered a moment of insanity we decided to join Grandma Elaine for an afternoon at the MN State Fair. The crowd was incredible and the temperature approached 100 degrees at times but you know what Landen LOVED it!
The ECO project building was interesting for both grown-ups and children. Here we found out how fast the hot air could come out of Landen's mouth, 30+ mph, not bad. Brant also enjoyed being able to see some of the solar heaters and wind generators that he's looked at on-line in person.
Parade watching...
The state fair even has Unicorns, Landen was very impressed
and giant chicken puppets
and marching bands
and the cutest team of miniature horses I've ever seen
of course there are the spinning gorillas
all this excitement can wear a girl out, Mackenna caught a quick cat nap on the table at the Salem Lutheran Church booth while we had some lunch
It wasn't long before she was up and at it again. Landen thought maybe she'd like to wear his hat since she didn't want to keep her own on.
Landen has already asked to go back again next year! We'll see
I'm glad to hear that you guys had fun at the fair! Landen, how did you get Grandma Elaine to go on that spinning gorilla??
ReplyDeleteNot only that, he also got me to go on the sky ride. It was a fun time.
