Nature Center Camp

Last week Landen went to Nature Center camp. There were only 2 other boys in his class and they all got along well and had a blast searching for bugs, frogs, tadpoles, mole holes, ant eggs, waterfalls, slugs, snails and more. Since Landen's getting older Mom doesn't get to go along on all these activities, all I see is what comes home. The picture above is surrounded by a frame Landen made, his teacher Elaine told me he was so fun to watch; she has known him since he was just a little guy in Nature Tikes but hasn't seen him in a couple years; she was impressed with his precision, apparently he was quite particular about where the glue went on his frame as well as what he pasted on, although it may be sparsely decorated it's just the way he wanted it. Below is his finger painting, it's amazing it's not all brown because usually he mixes all the paint together. See if you can spot the snail, the friendly monster, the spider, diving board, turtle pond, fire, a cross, and a gun (it is actually upside down in this photo).
