Some of you may be wondering what does a school nurse do during her summer break, here's a little bit of what we've been up to.
We hit the strawberry fields before the major heatwave hit and picked some very tasty berries.
We had to make a stop at the zoo before the state shut them down.
Both Landen and Mackenna enjoy the fish, below they are watching the trout that may be lunch for the hungry bears.
We headed to the beach to try and beat the heat, Mackenna loves splashing around.
We made a stop at our Sweet Spot candy store with a few friends for some refreshing ice cream. Landen and Mackenna can't sit still for long and ended up chasing each other around the store...we're lucky Marie likes kids and thinks they should have fun at the candy store.
I think he's supposed to be watching for the ball.
"stuck, stuck, STUCK!"
Amelia and Grady's "water park" opened for the season.
We went on an Artventure at the Owatonna Art Center. It was a class for Mackenna but Landen had fun too. Below Mackenna is checking out the paints made with corn starch, water, and food coloring they used to paint the sidewalks. Once it dried a little bit you'll see Landen below spraying vinegar on the art work to see it fizzle.
Though Mackenna enjoyed the art projects her favorite station was the wash up bucket.
We made a stop at Underwater world in the Mall of America, they have a very cool jellyfish exhibit.
